The day’s off to a bad start and with the weather we’re having, no wonder everyone’s down in the dumps.

Luckily, Aline, Queen of the Nightly News, is here to wash our winter blues away.

But what’s the weather going to be like tomorrow?

Jocelyne, High Priestess of showers and sunshine, isn’t here to tell us, and her replacement has anything but good news.

ALINE
Oh ye who bed down in the bedroom communities, workers of the working class neighbourhoods and gentry of the gentrified areas, drifters in the downtown core, amalgamated mega-suburbanites all!  Know that your despair is mighty, and righteous.  Stop feeling guilty about global issues: for wars there are treaties, for want there are soup kitchens.  But for winter what is there?  Nothing!  Nothing but a rusty shovel with a broken handle.  Do not deny your greatest human right, your god-given right to bitch!  Do not deny your anguish and veil your sorrow, name your cruel oppressor!

CHORUS OF OUR TIME
Oh damned snow! Oh damned cold!  Godamned winter!
