When I write a play, I want to shine a light on dramatic conventions. These are the power structures I wrestle with. They could be self-imposed, or I may be following them without even knowing it. I don’t want to preach to anyone. I’m trying to find a way to share my fears as honestly as possible. Theatre has meaning when it makes me feel free.
